Rock Faces


Left is one of the rubber moulds used for making rock castings, above are some castings in normal house decorating filler. Plaster of paris makes better castings and set faster, but I used what was on hand!
On the left are some card formers to assess how the rock faces will fit into the corner of the layout near the stone loader.




Ground Cover


Most of the scenic items used are from the Woodland Scenics range. Above right shows the track in the foreground falling below
the main lines as it decends to the lower staging sidings. The rock face becomes a concrete retaining wall as the track height
difference increases. Below left is the foot crossing made from scribed thin wood, shown before this was glued into place.
Below right is a section of greenery made from coarse matting and various grades of WS ground foam.
