Various parts have been acquired to use for this loco. A Proto 2000
SD9 to donate a chassis, this will need to be lengthened.
The bogies are fairly similar, but will need to be adjusted to make
the wheelbase uneven, as in the 664.
Also acquired is a body shell from an Athearn Tunnel Motor to provide
grilles, maybe doors, cab parts, etc.
After another holiday in Slovenia, where I met some local modellers,
it was suggested that the bogies from a Mehano C628 diesel are best to use for the 664, but with sideframes replaced
with EMD ones, with the wheelbase suitably altered. So I ordered a C628 which arrived today, bringing the creation of a
"Reagan" a little bit closer.
