Class 362

- Page three -

The chassis frame has been made in two halves, pivoting on the centre bogie.
Wiring is temporary as after testing it will be fitted with a DCC decoder.

Below: The body halves have been pressed onto the chassis to test clearances. The cab steps will have to be adjusted as the bogie
frame just touches them on my tightest curves causing the bogie to derail. The sandboxes have been fitted and the frames painted.

Next job is to fit the body sections at the correct height and position, then body detailing can continue.

The body sections are now fitted and the bellows section is the original one narrowed slightly. A DCC decoder has been installed.
Roof vents, side grilles, cab air-con units and pantographs are fitted.

Many more fittings to add, such as roof insulators and bars, buffer beam details, snowploughs, cab interiors, lighting, various cabling/pipework, etc.

After a long delay, I finally got around to doing more work on the loco. Roof electrical detail has been added and painting is underway.
The photographs show the body sitting on the chassis but not fixed and a bit unlevel. More details to be added including snowploughs, cab steps,
windscreen wipers, cab interiors, beading at top of bodysides to paint, pipework below the bodysides, decals to apply when ready, etc.

End walkways fitted

Decals have been applied. Now needs clear sealing varnish, glazing, lights, details and weathering.

More to follow as work progresses
